Facts about Siuntio
Siuntio has around 6,200 inhabitants, 27% of whom are Swedish-speaking. The most important urban areas in Siuntio are the Siuntio Station Area (2,300 inhabitants), Siuntio Church Village (350 inhabitants) and Störsvik (250 inhabitants). Siuntio has several large village areas and rural housing. The share of people living in terraced and detached houses is particularly high in Siuntio.
Sivistyskampus Siuntion Sydän is home to the Aleksis Kivi School (grades 1–9), Sjundeå svenska skola for Swedish-speaking students (grades 1–6), Walkers youth café, outreach youth work, Virta workshop, library and a family center, which contains a child health clinic and student welfare and family social work services.
Siuntio is known for its excellent recreational and leisure activities and valuable cultural heritage. In addition to the natural landscape, several old castles and manors make up for a stunning cultural landscape. In Siuntio, you can go golfing, canoeing, horse riding, fishing, swimming and hiking, just to name a few activities.
